IBIS ONE – WORLD TRADE CENTRE
RESTAURANT REVIEW
This place is really cool.To begin with, its is Ibis one hotel at world trade center. Once inside we were greeted by the very charming manager Seemah who also made us feel very welcome and guided us to these pod-shaped cubicles which looked really interesting. Once the family was seated. The service started. Impeccable service that is. The appetizers came real quick, starting with prawn crackers and sweet sauces which once you start you cant stop. Then came the dynamite prawns which were explosive, ie the flavor just exploded on the palate. Bbq chicken wings followed and were quickly reduced to bone, delighting every taste bud along the way. The soup which was vegetarian was clear and full of lemongrass goodness, it was the Phak soup. Then came more appetizers, veg spring rolls and sweet and salted lime juice. The main course was ordered and it arrived very quickly, the first to arrive was the chicken biryani which my wife absolutely relished. Next came the sweet and sour chicken which was my nephews favorite. My mom called for the stir-fry vegetables which she found average but she loved the veg spring rolls. I had ordered for the lychee Duck, which was quite chewy but the sweet lychee flavor tastes good. The Maki Sushi was excellent and I devoured it fully to the last piece. Finally, the dessert arrived which was vanilla ice cream with a twig of mint. Overall the experience was brilliant. The service was 5 stars, the ambiance again was 5 stars and the food was 4 stars.
