Royal Shanghai Kitchen Restaurant Review

Royal Shanghai Kitchen
Royal Ascot Hotel- Bur Dubai
15th August was my wifes birthday, we were invited for a menu tasting at the newly open Royal shanghai Kitchen in the Royal Ascot Hotel in Bur Dubai. We were warmly welcomed by the manager Mr Manoj and escorted to a private dining cubicle. The chef introduced himself to us shortly and the the service began. We started off with the cocktails, Caprioska and Cosmopolitian, both were appetising. Then came the starters Veg spring rolls dipped in sweet sauce. Followed bythe soups Peppery lemon and Lemon coriander seafood. Bothe soups were very average in taste. The appetizers followed crispy corn chilly pepper and teriyaki potato which was nice. The non veg appetizers were chicken with pepper and ginger which was good, pan fried chilly fish which was average, konjee crispy lamb which was average again. the main course was exotic veg in chilly basil sauce: good, prawns with seasonal greens and garlic: average, veg hakka noodles: good, sichuan fried rice chicken: average. the deserts were sizzling brownie: good and mango pudding: average.
The overall experience was average, The hospitality and service was brilliant, The food taste and presentation was average.
