Filful – Downtown Restaurant review
FILFUL
DOWNTOWN
RESTAURANT REVIEW
Thursday evening, me and my wife were invited for a menu tasting and some football viewing on big screens at Filful, an amazing cheerful restaurant in Downtown, Dubai. We were very warmly greeted by our smiling host and restaurant manager Ramy, who escorted us to our reserved table. What followed was a delightful array of brilliant Beiruti street food presented in a beautiful manner on our table. We were overwhelmed by the choice and the taste. We started off with drinks which were mocktails, the mint lemonade which was minty and lemony. The menu is creatively designed like a Midday newspaper in Beirut. The first page enlightens you on the story of Filful, while the rest of the pages highlight the gastronomical delights.
We started the evening with Falafel fingers, Haloumi fries, Mouajanat Mikli, falafel with tahini sauce, Batata harra, Roasted chicken, Filful mix, Watermelon fetta salad, Foul Akhtar bi Tahini, Humus, Shekaf cocktail.
I loved the watermelon and feta salad which I give 5 stars, the next best dish was the Roasted chicken 5 stars, Haloumi fries 5 stars, The cocktail was a bit too sweet for our palate. The batata harra was a nice side, Humus was up to our expectations. The service was brilliant and par excellence, The serving staff was pleasant and anticipated what we would need right from the refreshing towelettes to mineral water. The screens displayed football players as the watchful patrons cheered and relished the Beiruti delights. We ended the evening with Gum and mint shisha. A memorable evening at Filful.
